About My Clients
I welcome all along the eating disorder spectrum, and I have a particular passion for working with those seeking body image healing, liberation from chronic dieting, and a desire to UN-learn incorrect and harmful nutrition information and RE-learn how to make food decisions from an embodied, intuitive place.
My Background and Approach
I have a compassionate, client-centered approach that is deeply rooted in a weight-inclusive, Health at Every Size© framework that emphasizes intuitive eating, respect of one’s natural ability to attune to food, body, and movement, and a comprehensive look at the many determinants of health. I believe that every person’s body innately knows how best to nourish itself through food, social connection, and self-care, and I am passionate about helping people rediscover that internal wisdom.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
With an interest in how the many cultural and social injustices shape our relationships with our bodies and with awareness that the longest (and one of the most significant!) relationships you will ever have is the one with your body, I believe that the greatest service I can provide is to help clients reconnect with their body after years (and potentially generations) of body loathing, depriving, and mistrust. I am passionate about helping people come back in relationship with their body and begin to trust and care for one another.
