About My Clients

Sometimes, we all need a little support. Whether you’re struggling with work, navigating personal issues, going through a breakup, or dealing with past trauma—it can help to unload all that is circling in your mind and heart. If you’re new to therapy, my practice is a welcoming, safe space for anyone who wants to “get unstuck.” I like to get the healing started from the get-go and have a special knack for working with breakups, family issues, and trauma resolution.

My Background and Approach

I offer a warm and empathetic environment so clients of all backgrounds feel heard and supported. I tailor my approach to your needs, collaborating with you to discover your strengths and achieve your therapeutic goals—by changing any patterns that you feel are keeping you from feeling true happiness, which we all deserve. I’ve been a therapist for 20+ years. I have a Master's degree in clinical psychology and am licensed in California and Wyoming. My approach is rooted in evidence-based practices that draw from various modalities, including Accelerated Experiential Psychodynamic (AEDP), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Family Systems Theory.  I’m also a two-time TEDx speaker and author, a national speaker/ally for LGBTQ, and a neurodiversity advocate. Even in the first session, I have found that healing can begin—but reaching out can be the hardest step. Email or call to set up the first session. I look forward to hearing from you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

With the proper therapist-client connection, healing can start in the first session. I don't believe we need to be in therapy for years to heal. Similar to a single incident trauma that can have a long-lasting impact, the same can be said with a positive experience that can happen in therapy. Working beyond "mirroring" in therapy and leaning toward the positive aspects of people can unlock our stuckness. I believe we are all trying our hardest. However, sometimes in life, we need a trained professional to help us sort out what the hell is going on or how to move forward best. I am here if you need that extra support or psychological training to figure out the nuances of situations that can help move that needle.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
