My mission is to provide you with an individualized quality of care by first spending some time getting to know you and your unique situation before working together to find solutions. One size does not fit all! We can talk or we can use psychoeducational information or worksheets to help you. It's your choice. I am a psychodynamic therapist who is engaging, encouraging and uses a strengths-based approach to therapy. I hope to provide you with a supportive, safe space where you can develop into the person you want to be and find answers to tough questions.
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I will cooperatively assist you in clarifying your goals for therapy and provide you with a written treatment plan outlining objectives and treatment methods. My belief is that a successful therapeutic relationship is vital to enhancing your personal strengths and mobilizes for change in your life.
I believe that with the right support, we can become stronger and find fulfillment—even in those tough stages of life. I can show you how to truly live the idea that even when we reach our goals, there is always more to explore, and make the journey easier.
A Texas native, I grew up in a bi-cultural, tri-lingual Swiss German-American household in the United States and Switzerland. I learned at an early age to transcend the boundaries in a rapidly changing world. As a non-traditional student at the University of Texas, my bachelor’s degree was focused the study of Germanic languages and cultural diversity. My professional and personal experience has taught me to deeply respect and appreciate the diversity of the human experience and value the importance of this diversity in contributing to creating a compassionate, productive, non-discriminatory society.
