Much of my work consists of self-worth exploration. This component of our identities can often be neglected, and its impact can be widespread. Learning about your own beliefs you hold about yourself and where you learned these can be not only enlightening, but freeing from invalid scripts you've held.

I have extensive training in LGBTQ+ affirming therapy and have a passion for working with those in this community. I'm working to obtain my AASECT sex therapy certification, as well as continued training within CNM and kink-affirming therapy.

Anxiety can feel like you're "losing it," "going crazy" and wondering if you'll ever feel grounded again. When it's intense you feel physically sick and your mind fixates on all of the worries in your world. While these experiences may lead to feeling alone, there is help and hope that you can feel better. With counseling, I have seen people have incredible breakthroughs in understanding, managing and changing their relationship with anxiety.

Meeting people where they are is the heart of Rogerian and other Person-Centered therapeutic approaches. I don't start out trying to understand how a person's experiences can be understood as a disease or a disorder, instead, I try to humbly understand their experiences and then reflect on how they can be viewed through various psychological lenses.

We are what we think. Our thoughts and the stories we tell ourselves become embedded in our belief system. These core beliefs affect there way we approach life, relationships, problems and the way we see ourselves. identifying and reframing irrational and unhealthy ways to interpret our world, can very effectively change the way we feel and the way we respond to situations and events in our lives. I have seen my clients rewire their minds and transform their lives as a result.

Attachment theory looks at our earliest relationships as formative in how we relate to ourselves, others and the world. Understanding the context in which you learned to related helps us understand the patterns of relationship of the present day. Using this theoretical frame, we will return to story, addressing long-held hurts, hurts often held outside of daily awareness. And from this frame, we will gain greater clarity for what it is you are longing for.

LGBTQ individuals seek counseling for many reasons that may or may not be related to your sexuality or your gender identity. It is important that you have a therapist who you can discuss any area of your life without taking time to explain being LGBTQIA+.
