You are seeking a life that is full of acceptance, abundance, and safety. You crave fullness and vibrance in your life, but you’re unsure of how to get there. Maybe you feel stuck or confused. One of my main goals as a therapist is to help you align with your values & live a life that’s fulfilling to you while working through the “stuff” that’s holding you back. I often work with clients who identify as LGBTQ+ or are struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma.
My Background and Approach
I know that the process of healing can be difficult, that it is rarely linear & often overwhelming, but you have my promise to do my best to help you on your journey. My approach to therapy is collaborative - I want to help you live the life that you want. I often use Acceptance & Commitment Therapy to achieve this, but can utilize other methods, such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy, when needed.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a member of the LGBGTQ+ community myself, I will be familiar with some of the identity struggles that come along with belonging to this group. One of the most important causes to me is equity in educational settings and I fully support the Black Lives Matter and Prison Abolition movements.
