About My Clients

"I know it's not all my fault, but why can't I stop feeling that way? Why can't I forget what happened?" "How do I hold onto hope in a world with so much suffering? What does making a difference even mean?" These are some of the most difficult questions that plague us; that drive the tightness in our chest and the churning in our stomach. However, our minds, bodies, and communities also have incredibly resilient ways of adapting. You have incredibly resilient ways of adapting. Let's find them.

My Background and Approach

I operate from a social justice framework that helps clients navigate the intersectionality of power, privilege, oppression, connection, and power in our lives. I strive to deliver culturally-responsive and identity-affirming therapy that provides the quality, compassionate care we all deserve. I have over 14 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. My clients and I work together to heal from trauma, grief, life transitions, burnout, substance use, and depression. I especially enjoy working with queer, socially conscious, neurodivergent, and nonmonogamous clients. My goals for clients are three-fold: 1) Build safety by amplifying your compassion, curiosity, and connectedness. 2) Deconstruct the past by reprocessing traumatic memories, grieving losses, and integrating nervous system responses/triggers. 3) Reclaim your story by connecting with values and redefining what a meaningful, fulfilling life is for you - not what you were told it was supposed to be.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in my community: A portion of my profits are re-invested in Baltimore mutual aid groups and in Piscataway Nation land tax. Lots of providers say they're affirming. Here's what that means to me: I acknowledge that I as a therapist, I have great power and am capable of doing harm to clients, To mitigate that potential harm, I work to analyze my intersecting identities, deconstruct my biases, and know how they show up in the therapy room. With each client, I use an intersectional and systemic analysis of the presenting problems. When working with marginalized clients, I pursue continuing education related to working with that specific group, consider how my lived experience is relevant, and build accountability through consultation with specialists with lived experience in that identity. I also work to navigate my own white fragility so that if harm is brought to my attention, I can take accountability and change the impact of my actions.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
