About My Clients
I work with children, teens, and adults to support exploration of difficult issues and life changes. Often what brings someone to seek counseling, either for themselves or for their child, is being faced with a challenge they need support navigating and resolving. Taking the risk to ask for help is the first step on the road toward healing and growth.
My Background and Approach
I have worked with children and families across different landscapes for over 15 years. My background is in education, mental health consultation, and individual and family therapy. Working with children, teens, parents/caregivers, educators, and community services providers over the years, I recognize the importance of working from the understanding that all people exist within systems, and that no one develops in isolation. Utilizing a creative and playful space, my clients and I co-create a therapeutic environment that provides opportunities to explore through forms of self-expression. I draw from Expressive Arts, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Psychodynamic Theory to best support emotional growth and healing for each individual client. My specialities include, but are not limited to, working with anxiety, bullying, depression, family challenges, life events & transitions, peer relationships, school problems, social skills, and self-esteem.
