About My Clients
Passionate about helping clients navigate self-discovery, I specialize in sexuality, gender, and trauma for adolescents and adults. Using humor, I create an authentic space for everyone to show up as they are comfortable on any given day. I am trained in trauma modalities such as AIR Network and Brainspotting. I love working with folks who have dissociative abilities( including DID)
My Background and Approach
As a therapist, I employ a body-based healing approach, emphasizing Brainspotting to tap into subconscious beliefs and stories residing in our bodies. My focus is on leveraging aspects of personal identity to navigate this intense world we live in. I bring authenticity to the therapy room, creating a comfortable space for you to express yourself as you wish (slippers and coziness welcome!). I specialize in working with the LGBTQIA+ community, exploration of alternative relationship styles, and addressing complex trauma. I have a quirky personality and I use humor in sessions but also incorporate both directness and grounding as they apply to our sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist overcoming people-pleasing tendencies, healing from capitalist ideologies, and addressing my internal programming, I base my therapeutic approach on principles of social justice.My practice actively opposes racism, capitalism, and ableism. I believe in uplifting queer, trans and POC voices. Acknowledging therapy's existence within these systems, I diligently examine my biases and the influence of power structures on healing. I love working with highly sensitive individuals, and helping them to figure out how to thrive in world that was not necessarily built for them. Ultimately I love working with people to discover the intrinsic beauty within themselves and to partner together to find those pieces that make you unique and authentic.
