About My Clients
You are a millennial parent or adult going back to school, trying hard to take your life to a better place, but feeling unequipped to do so because you didn’t have good examples of adults around you… Maybe your parents had mental health issues or addiction: you felt like you had to take care of them when you were a child. You are feeling like you are figuring out adulting on your own because of that. I have been there. I can guide you on this journey.
My Background and Approach
My background is in understanding trauma and cultural contexts in which people struggle. Maybe you’re feeling drained by the demands of people around you, your boss, your partner, your kids… On top of that, you’re also experiencing stress and anxiety related to intensely painful experiences from the past. You may be feeling numb, unable to experience joy, not good enough, guilty, and filled with shame despite overdoing, overachieving, and always putting others first. You may also be struggling with intrusive thoughts, reliving awful experiences, or bad dreams about those painful events in your life. People around you don’t understand why you’re preoccupied with the past and that you have difficulty relaxing. These things are interfering with your ability to function in your romantic relationship and as a parent. My unique blend of talk therapy and trauma-reprocessing therapy can help. I provide a supportive environment to help you come to some lasting improvement in your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a casual person who enjoys being outdoors, reading, and taking long walks when I am not helping others with their mental health journeys.
