About My Clients

My Background and Approach
My job is to listen to the situation you are trying to improve and point out themes or patterns that may help you reflect and think through your actions and feelings. I will be listening for aspects of your experience, thoughts and emotions that may be useful to explore further. This does not mean that I am pointing out ‘you got this wrong,’ or ‘you better look at this a bit more carefully.’ It is simply an invitation to be more attentive to the way you operate in your everyday thinking, experiencing and acting. Looking at your experience from a different angle can provide more options of how to get what you want. Additionally, looking at your assumptions and opinions will help you to get to know yourself better. When you are more self aware you will feel much stronger in yourself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My practice is based on the understanding that life provides continual change which can create confusion, stress and conflict. As we go through different stages in our life we are faced with new challenges that we haven’t dealt with before. We face many possibilities and opportunities as well as a number of limitations and challenges that we have to consider and take into account. Working together in psychotherapy can help you find constructive and realistic ways to navigate some of life’s difficult circumstances.
