About My Clients
My knowledge of early life development and the impact of relationship dynamics gives me great insight into working with children, families, and parents. I am open to working with all people who are interested in examining the influence and connection of early life experiences to current thoughts, patterns, and behaviors. My clients want to learn how to work with their nervous systems, identify and learn to feel emotions, develop skills for working with emotions, and communicate effectively.
My Background and Approach
This is the space to let out all that has been kept inside, everything that felt like it was unsafe to say and feel can come into the room when you're ready. I'm dedicated to helping people build self-compassion within the context of structural issues and offering tools to balance between humanism and neuroscience. I see you through the eyes of someone who believes you can succeed. My personal experiences with therapy as a child and teenager help me relate to many issues young people face today.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a queer person, I care about LGBTQ+ rights and wellness and contribute to activism efforts and advocate for the life-affirming care queer and trans people deserve. Specifically in Texas, I participated in organizing efforts to take down transphobic drag bans. This included facilitating workshops with University of Texas faculty and students to teach about trans history and build shared understanding to minimize gender-based inequity and mistreatment on campus.
