About My Clients
Are you feeling stuck in life? Are you feeling stressed, anxious or depressed? We often feel stuck or distressed when our thought processes and coping skills no longer serve us. I'm here to help you move forward by guiding you to build the skills you need to thrive. I help clients build compassion towards themselves, identify their strengths, develop healthy coping skills, assertive communication skills, and challenge unhelpful thoughts. My wish is to help you feel calm, confident, and thriving.
My Background and Approach
My style of therapy is rooted in a trauma-informed approach, which utilizes solution-focused, emotion-focused, and cognitive-behavioral therapeutic principles. I tailor these techniques to help clients with their unique goals, including building self-esteem, healthy relationships, coping with anxiety, depression, & PTSD, and becoming more attuned to their emotions. In a session together, you can expect to keep a present focus and engage in a conversational style of therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The beliefs that form the foundation of my trauma-informed approach to therapy are my belief that each client is the expert on themselves and their needs; and that we are influenced but not determined by our life circumstances. To me, this means that everyone can grow and change, even when faced with life's challenges. I also believe that everyone comes to therapy already equipped with skills and strengths, that has allowed them to persevere. My role is to collaborate with you to identify these strengths and utilize them to achieve your goals.
