About My Clients

White supremacy culture and other systems of oppression has left you feeling devalued, invisible, and not good enough. You've struggled with belonging and fitting in, creating and cultivating intimate relationships with others. You want to be able to live authentically, to be seen and heard, valued for who you are. Please note I am currently full am not taking new clients at this time, though I can add you to my waitlist if you are interested in working with me in the future.

My Background and Approach

Healing and recovery requires safety- I provide a safe, warm, and nonjudgmental space so you can focus on what’s most important: you. I will approach our therapeutic relationship with authenticity and empathy, my top values as a therapist. You will gain skills to stop the struggle with things that cause suffering, freeing you up to do what's of value to you. I earned my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology at Palo Alto University, where my studies emphasized traumatic stress, mindfulness, substance abuse issues, and diversity and community mental health. On a personal note, I am a sports fanatic and fitness enthusiast who loves to eat (ironic, I know). My motto in life is “Everything in moderation.”

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. Imperfections are seen as valuable and focused on, rather than the absence or missing parts. Broken objects are transformed into unique, beautiful, and useful pieces- the essence of resilience. People may come to therapy feeling broken, useless, or worthless, often due to living in a world that upholds white supremacy culture. My aim as a therapist is to help people increase resilience, and find joy, beauty, and value in their lives. Whether you feel depressed or anxious, are experiencing relationship stress, struggle with addictions, or because you’re just going through some tough times- I will provide a safe space and work with you to dismantle white culture culture, decolonize mental health and wellness, figure out how you can live your best, authentic life.
