About My Clients
I am passionate about working with my patients to provide the structure and support that enables them to create the best version of their lives, heal from past trauma, and attend to their mental health concerns. I believe that developing a solid therapeutic relationship with my patients plays an essential role in their pursuit of health and that the important work my patients do to improve their mental health benefits themselves, their families, and the community at large.
My Background and Approach
In addition to my experience as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I have past experience as a psychiatric nurse, emergency nurse, and sexual assault nurse examiner. These experiences have provided me with a broad array of skills to utilize when working with my patients. I have experience working with patients across the lifespan who have survived trauma, grappled with chronic mental illness, and struggled with substance use.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I take a holistic approach to medication management. While the medications I prescribe are a valuable tool, they are but one of many tools that can be used as my patients work to improve their mental health. I am an open, empathetic, and creative provider who is able to meet my patients where they are. I believe in working with my patients to create a treatment plan that can be tailored to their unique needs, priorities, and situation.
