About My Clients

Dr. Jenkins sees adults with a wide range of concerns and has specialized expertise in Maternal Mental Health Treatment (focusing on issues related to infertility, pregnancy and newborn loss, and prenatal/postpartum anxiety and depression). She also offers therapy focusing on supporting families, helping parents develop positive parenting tools, educating parents about how to support their children with attention/behavior problems, and assisting them in navigating through transitions.

My Background and Approach

Dr. Jenkins got her Doctorate in Psychology from George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon in 2012. As part of her education, she participated in several years of training at Oregon Health Sciences University and completed an American Psychological Association accredited internship at Cherokee Health Systems in Knoxville, Tennessee. Dr. Jenkins is passionate about providing high quality mental health services across the age continuum and offers a holistic, integrated approach to mental health care for individuals and families. My Personal Beliefs and Interests

In her work with individuals and families, Dr. Jenkins employs interpersonal and cognitive behavioral counseling techniques. She particularly enjoys helping those who struggle with infertility, perinatal anxiety and depression, bipolar disorder, parenting stress, perinatal/infant grief and loss, and specific issues related to maternal mental health. Using her experience in primary care psychology, she is also skilled in helping clients manage the mental health aspects of chronic health conditions such as diabetes, insomnia, autoimmune disorders, and chronic pain.
