About My Clients
I help people who are tired of struggling with themselves every day to do the things they want, tired of feeling anxious and irritable, and tired of feeling detached from their life.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor located in Decatur, Georgia. I am an avid reader, a wanna be astronomer, lover of dogs, music, nature, and baseball. I got my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Princeton University and my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Boston College. I believe that healing happens in the therapeutic relationship. I can teach you a million skills but if I haven’t created a safe place for you to share your hopes, dreams, fears, and deepest shame, then we aren’t going to get anywhere. I truly love my work and the connections I have with my clients and want you to feel safe, cared for, and like you have a space to be who you really are. Along with my more Humanistic approach, I use a lot of Mindfulness techniques and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (I love to give homework!). I also love using books, humor, movies, and music as ways to explore yourself.
