About My Clients
My ideal client is willing to put the work in and change. Either suspect or diagnosed with ADHD, Autism, and/or CPTSD/PTSD. I also work with actively, baseline suicidal clients who might self-harm. I am very comfortable in working with client's who experience suicidal thoughts as I am a retired crisis counselor. For trauma, I am not a trauma counselor but I do work on life skills, anxiety, depression associated with PTSD. I do not work with personality disorders.
My Background and Approach
Hello! I am scheduling new clients. I work with adults 18 and older. I specialize in Neurodivergent disorders, ADHD, Autism, and CPTSD/PTSD. I also am comfortable in working with client who experiencing suicidal thinking and/or self-harm thinking. I won't put you in "grippy sock vacation" just because you said you had a passive suicidal thought. I am comfortable talking about suicide and figuring out a safety plan for you. I am a retired crisis counselor and know how to navigate crisis situations. I have been told by previous clients that I am very open, kink-friendly, sexually positive, LGBTQ+ affirming, and a nonjudgmental counselor. I also have written letters and recommendations for transgender hormone therapy and replacements. I really make sure that you are able to take up space and be heard.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I personally believe there is not enough ADHD, Autistic, CPTSD trained counselors who are open to breaking the stigma about suicide and self-harm. I have a feminist sign hung up in my office because I think everyone should be equal. I am passionate about breaking the patriarchy down because I don't think it benefits anyone. As a woman, I value being heard and seen. So this is why I am working to make a space in my counseling office and telehealth office for others to be seen and heard. My office is in the works and once it is finished, I hope it to be a place where neurodivergents clients can take off their masks that they present to the world.
