About My Clients
Do you struggle with motivation and focus troubles that affect more than just your ability to get your homework done? Do you feel overwhelmed by basic tasks that you can’t seem to get started? Do you ever wonder that life could be better, your mind a little quieter? Now more than ever, young adults, are feeling overwhelmed with the life presented to them, with mental health diagnosis becoming more frequent. I believe you can find the motivation to get control of your life again.
My Background and Approach
I come to therapy with a humanistic/person centered approach while leaning on DBT skills for behavioral support. What this means is you are the expert on you, my role is to provide a nonjudgemental space for you to feel supported and develop self trust during the hard process that is therapy. DBT Skills are practical and evidence based tools for actionable change, and come from a place of acceptance and distress tolerance.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should be a safe space for you to show up as the totality of who you are. In the therapy room, you are encouraged to bring up all of your identities, as they all are important parts of you and how you move through this world. I believe therapy is political, and what is happening in our country is not separate from your mental health.
