About My Clients
Living and growing as a family can be difficult, and it becomes even more challenging when facing behavioral or emotional concerns of your children. I can help tame temper tantrums, build emotional literacy and improve understanding between child and caregiver, enhancing that relationship. For older children and adolescents, I aim to reduce the impact of emotional distress as growing up can be difficult. *I am not currently accepting clients for Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
My Background and Approach
My job is to support and empower families through the use of individual and family approaches, alleviating stressors so the family may continue to thrive. Therapy is a collaborative process as you know your family best. As a parent, I know how easy it is to feel overwhelmed and inundated with different ideas and approaches. I see you as the expert regarding your child and family. I can provide you the skills to become your child's own play therapist to help them even after therapy is over. Together we can explore and fine tune strategies to help your little one be successful. I welcome the opportunity to join you in this journey and improve the interactions occurring within the family unit.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I do not profess to know all the answers and strive to live a life of continued growth and learning, especially when it's difficult. I view myself as a global citizen and aim to be a servant leader within my community. When I'm not in session, I prefer to be outdoors with my husband, son and dog, hiking, biking or enjoying a workout at our local gym.
