Every relationship comes with its fair share of issues. Navigating the complexities of life together is hard enough, but when you start to feel regularly distressed or hopeless, about your relationship, it may be time to seek professional help. No matter what your issues seem to stem from (disagreements about money, sex, stress, chronic illness, mental illness, infidelity, trust, emotional distance, parenting etc.), if you and your partner are arguing more frequently and experiencing feelings of resentment or contempt, it is likely that there are some underlying problems to address. Because many problems in relationships are a result of communication issues, a qualified mental health therapist can teach you to find new ways of talking to each other to help you find your way back to common ground. I am enthusiastic about working with individuals, dyads, or triads navigating interpersonal conflict. I have particular interests in working with people seeking support navigating ethically non-monogamous relationships, complicated family dynamics, and life transitions. I’m passionate about health at every size and practice within a body liberation framework. I’m interested in working with people seeking to challenge their conditioning around food, movement, and body image.

I work with adolescents, adults, and couples. Individuals that I work generally report concerns around relationships, depression, anxiety, complex trauma, and low self-esteem. Through several years of psychodynamic training and extensive time in the consultation room, I have learned how to understand the relationships of my patients -- individuals and couples alike -- by being *in* relationship with my patients, in a safe, contained, and exploratory setting.

I do my best work with the people most like my people; queer, trans, leftist at least, and usually anxious, often nonmonogamous. I work with individuals, dyads, triads, etc. I am particularly interested in trauma-work, disassociation, and navigating relational difficulties of any kind.

I work with folks who are trying out new ways of thinking, connecting to their wisdom, and focusing on their healing. I work with couples who want to strengthen communication skills, emotional support, and secure attachment with each other.

Trauma, anxiety, and/or depression, is preventing you from living your life. Even on good days, your negative self-talk beats you you up. Everyone can be hard on themselves. It’s exhausting trying to anticipate when these feelings will strike next. You can’t trust your own thoughts. It could be that your painful past or current stress isn’t going away on its own. It takes all you’ve got to get through the day. And most days it takes more than that. Stuck in a vicious cycle with no end in sight.
