Gender identity issues, sometimes called gender dysphoria or gender conflict, occur when an individual feels an inconsistency between their physical gender and the gender they truly feel or identify with. This most commonly exhibits itself as a physical discomfort with the gender one was assigned at birth, including the feeling of being in the wrong body. Children with gender dysphoria may express disgust of their own genitals or a certainty that they will grow up to be the opposite sex. Some individuals with gender identity issues treat this feeling by physically modifying their bodies to better match their gender identity. Gender dysphoria comes with it an increased risk for depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, and bullying. If you are experiencing gender identity issues, reach out to one of TherapyDen’s qualified professionals today.

I strive to offer a safe space to get in touch with these feelings and explore without reservation. I work with adults and young adults and draw from an eclectic blend of therapeutic techniques to meet your needs.
I primarily work with LGBTQ clients, BIPOC clients, immigrants or children of immigrants, and those with autism, ADHD, depression, anxiety, social anxiety, and low self-esteem. And since I work with many marginalized populations, it is important to me that clients understand how their struggles are impacted more by society than by themselves.
Clients I work with come in for an array of reasons ranging from day-to-day stressors to overcoming unresolved trauma. My clinical experience involves providing individual, group and family counseling to children, adolescents/teens, adults, and families. I have assisted these clients in working through complex trauma/PTSD, depression, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, self-esteem issues, interpersonal conflict, LGBTQIA+ issues, and life transitions.
I specialize in helping individuals with anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, trauma, life transitions, and helping feel more in control of your emotions. I provide my clients with concrete and valuable tools, as well as a greater understanding into their behaviors, thoughts, and emotions that contribute to self-defeating patterns and conflicted relationships. In the safety of this open environment, you’ll be able to explore new ways of living that are free from anxiety and self doubt.
