About My Clients
Being a mom is really freaking hard. It's exhausting and at times it's not even a little bit rewarding. The journey to becoming a mom isn't always easy. I work with people in the perinatal period: preconception, during pregnancy, and in the postpartum period. I also work to support people after abortion, no matter the reason. The clients I work with may be suffering from postpartum anxiety and/or depression, maybe have experienced traumatic births or losses, abortion, or or the baby blues.
My Background and Approach
I provide a warm, accepting environment where you can explore your feelings without judgement. I will work with you to strengthen the coping skills you already have and to build new ones. I have extensive training and experience in the perinatal period, and have completed the Postpartum Support International certificate training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders as well as training and experience in working with individuals with anxiety and depression. I am also trained in EMDR and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Please know that I support all women at all stages of their pregnancy and motherhood journey, and unequivocally believe that all decisions to carry a pregnancy to term, or not, are valid and a decision between a woman and her doctor. I support a woman’s right to choose and have bodily autonomy. Bluebell Therapy Center welcomes all women and gender non-conforming individuals regardless of sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, and physical ability.
