About My Clients

I specialize in assessing and addressing lapses in verbal behavior development and in providing parent/family training to address problem behavior in the home, school, and community. While behavior analysis is a well-known approach for teaching children with autism, I work with a variety of clients and families regardless of diagnostic status.

My Background and Approach

Applied Behavior Analysis is the scientific practice of improving socially significant behaviors related to such categories as socialization, communication, academic readiness, direction-following, and adaptive learning skills. My experience as a behavior analyst spans educational, clinical, and home/community settings. I began my work as a special education teacher outside of New York City, studying under the tutelage of Dr. R. Douglas Greer at Columbia University. My practice as both a behavior analyst and parent educator is guided by verbal behavior development theory. I aim to provide children and families with tools to rapidly improve language comprehension and vocalization, replace problem behaviors, teach self-help skills, and enhance age-appropriate social skills. I primarily work with children between 2-10 years old, but have experience working with clients up to 21 years old.
