About My Clients

Do finances bring up uncomfortable emotions or memories for you? Are there things about money that just feel icky to you? The fact is money is totally neutral. It doesn't hold a positive or a negative charge. It takes on whatever sentiment it is given. If you'd like to let go of the discomfort around money or you'd just like to improve your relationship with your finances, Financial Therapy could be a great step.

My Background and Approach

Money is so hard. It can feel so complex and overwhelming. We never talk about how our emotions are so wrapped up in our finances. When our mental health is poor, our finances suffer and vis versa. Money is an all too often overlooked aspect of personal wellness. In Financial Therapy, we focus on creating a healthy relationship between you and your money. This involves working through feelings that come up for you around finances, identifying and changing unhelpful beliefs, creating a partnership with your money, and resolving any painful memories involving money. Using a technique called EMDR, we can create healthier beliefs and emotions around money and resolve any painful memories. Another complicating factor in our money relationship can be challenges with executive functioning. ADHD and other neurodiversities can create challenges with managing daily tasks including finances. Creating skills, habits, and a lifestyle that supports your goals will increase confident and peaceful.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

We were meant for a life that we love. We all have a story, and sometimes parts of this story trip us up over and over. These things get in the way of what we are trying to accomplish now. Getting to the root of these obstacles and making peace with them opens us up to thrive. I am passionate about promoting financial wellness and literacy. Making financial therapy known and available is a service I believe in. How we feel about money is a too little talked about. It has a huge impact on our mental health. EMDR and trauma therapy are close my heart, and I believe they have the power to change the world. I know they have the power to change your world. Promoting and contributing to EMDR and furthering our understanding of trauma are important to me. Spreading awareness about ADHD and other neurodiversities and disabilities is so needed and something that will benefit us all. I offer neurodivergent-affirming therapy and am passionately anti-ablist, anti-racist, and LGBTQ+-affirming

I offer online counseling in the following states:
