About My Clients
Sometimes, we can get so overwhelmed that we're not quite sure where to go or what to do to make things feel better. I want you to know that you've taken the wonderful first step to come here, and I applaud you for doing that. Sometimes, seeking help can be equally challenging as finding it. I hope to be able to assist you in handling these difficult struggles so they don't become insurmountable.
My Background and Approach
I think of therapy as a collaborative process between the therapist and the client. In order for that process to be as effective as possible, I want the client to be able to find the right fit with a therapist that they are able to trust and build rapport with. I value the client’s journey above all, and I will always want to prioritize their comfort, treatment needs, and goals when coming to therapy, whether or not that’s with me. When working together, I hope to be able to help them uncover or even further their own strengths and transform into who they aspire to be. My practice is informed through a person-centered and empathic lens, recognizing and holding respect of your own personal background and history. My treatment approach is eclectic; I frequently utilize a mixture of CBT, DBT, psychodynamic, and a trauma-informed lens when working together to help resolve your main concerns.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My top core values are empathy, honesty, and kindness. I think it’s so important to be able to be mindful that everyone has their own story and background, and to be kind as much as possible. Most people’s stories aren’t always skin-deep; with empathy, honesty, and kindness, we can slowly if not ease, but soothe, each other’s hearts.
