About My Clients

As a mindfulness-oriented experiential, bodymind therapist, I work with individuals and couples in re-encountering and living in their wholeness, releasing shame and traumatic memory, and feeling secure in themselves, in their relationships, and in their connection to purpose and the greater community.

My Background and Approach

I have a Master's in Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Somatic Psychology through Prescott College and have completed advanced training in trauma-informed Hakomi Mindfulness-based Somatic Psychotherapy and Experiential Attachment Psychotherapy through the M.E.T.A. Institute in Portland, OR. I am also a Level 1 AEDP Therapist. As one of the only Hakomi and Experiential Attachment-based therapists in the Metro-Detroit area, I offer a unique approach to therapy that is deeply relational, integrative, and effective in supporting long-term growth and vitality. I blend mindfulness, existential, humanistic, somatic, attachment, and trauma-informed approaches within present-moment awareness, to best serve your wholeness. I am passionate about helping individuals heal from relational trauma, including regaining nervous system regulation, re-inhabiting the body, releasing shame, and re-parenting wounded attachment systems.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

In addition to my formal training, I have experience and training in Authentic Movement, a movement/dance-based therapeutic modality and deeply value the power of mindful movement to aid in healing and release. I have spent many years of my adult life volunteering, traveling, and living abroad. I am passionate about global justice and healing and have partnered with organizations committed to enhancing meaningful and personal change. Additionally, I worked with a community in Switzerland focused on providing a healing space for those with religious questions and past religious trauma. These experiences have helped instill in me a sacred respect for human diversity and an attitude of celebration in the uniqueness that makes up each interconnected life. I am the mama of 3 young children and enjoy supporting women through the prenatal, pregnancy, and postpartum journey. My approach to therapy is life affirming, including honoring all races, faiths, sexual orientations, and lifestyles.
