About My Clients

I enjoy working with a diverse adult (18+) population, but have a special interest in serving Veterans, Active duty service members, and their partners. I utilize best-practices and a collaborative approach to treatment planning and care.

My Background and Approach

I have a PhD in clinical psychology and have worked at the VA for over 10 years. My career has focused on treating PTSD and conditions that commonly occur after trauma, such as depression and substance use. My approach involves active engagement, skill building, and behavioral or exposure interventions. You can expect to be asked to complete assignments between sessions to help you incorporate skills into your life. Much of the benefit you will receive will be the product of your own commitment to taking care of yourself. In that way, therapy is not something I do to you, but rather something you do for yourself. My job is to help guide and support you through it.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone has the ability to recover and that recovery begins when we can live a value-consistent life. In order to do that, sometimes we have to process and address the events, people, situations, or behaviors that are getting in the way. I believe in being open-minded, curious, and an ally and advocate for individuals who come from different backgrounds or belief systems.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
