About My Clients
Have you experienced something traumatic and then wondered what to do next? Where do you pick up the pieces that may be shattered around you? I can help; whether it happened months ago or ages ago; maybe it was perceived as minor or major - it doesn't matter because it had an effect on you. The longer you avoid it the more of a hold it will have on you and your life; I want to help you break the bonds trauma holds on you and help you take your life back!
My Background and Approach
I am certified in Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Equine Assisted Therapy. I also use traditional modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. So what does all of that mean? I use an eclectic approach to helping my clients as I believe there is no "one size fits all" for everyone. I strongly believe that you have the answers, sometimes you just need help finding them! I will give you the tools to face the next challenges life throws at you, because lets face it, life doesn't stop, but you will be better equipped to tackle whatever it launches at you next!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have first hand experience with therapy and know it can be uncomfortable at times; this is good, it's how you know you are making progress and making positive change. I am a believer in trying before encouraging my clients to try for themselves. I have a service dog, Chloe, and she is my daily savior when I have anxious moments; therapist need therapist, too. When you come to see me, I want you to know there will never be judgement and you will be in a safe space always.
