Welcome! I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in providing a tailored, integrative and depth-oriented treatment approach.

Clinical Psychologist in Los Angeles, CA

About My Clients

Whether you find yourself feeling depressed, anxious, troubled by trauma or stuck in repetitive patterns of relationship, psychotherapy is a place to explore your past in order to live more fully and more freely in your present. The therapy relationship can be a safe place to explore distressing symptoms, painful emotions and difficult stuck points in order to more fully understand yourself, clarify your values and find peace within yourself, your relationships and your world.

My Background and Approach

I received my doctorate from Rosemead School of Psychology in La Mirada, CA where I was trained in a contemporary, relational, psychodynamic approach. I completed an APA-approved internship at the VA Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and went on to complete an APA-approved post-doctoral fellowship with specialization in health psychology and interdisciplinary care at the VA Medical Center in Manhattan. Taken together with my more recent career in the Los Angeles area, I have had the privilege of gaining clinical expertise in working with broad and diverse populations, working towards cultural competency and cultural humility. I have extensive experience in treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety and panic disorder, somatic disorders, chronic pain/chronic illness and a wide variety of relationship issues. I have provided couples therapy, individual, group therapy and will work with you to create a tailored treatment plan.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe deeply in therapy serving as a vehicle for healing, self-love and the ability to live freely and authentically. Much of the work of therapy is uncovering the ways in which social stigmas, cultural pressures, past traumas and interpersonal narratives shape the lives we lead, the choices we make and how we interact with the people and the world around us. My most exciting moments in therapy are seeing a client come to understand themselves in a new way, see themselves clearly and feel the freedom to live consistently with their values, dreams and aspirations for their life. In this way, psychotherapy is about more than symptom reduction, but about self-discovery and self-love within the context of a safe and trusting relationship.
