For PTSD and other trauma-related symptomology, I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy. Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a unique approach to psychotherapy. ART is unique because the ART Therapist guides the client to replace the negative images in the mind that cause the symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress with positive images of the client’s choosing. This is done quickly, most often within one session. This allows the negative thoughts to starve and the positive ones to grow.

In Florida, I completed and earned the Masters Level Certified Addictions Professional, MCAP, as well as the Certified Gambling Addictions Counselor (CGAC) credential. I have seen how difficult addiction can be not only for the client but their family, so I decided to learn how to best help them and explore alternative ways, such as using a harm reduction model and modeling compassion for all parties. Recovery can be difficult but not impossible.

For ASD, I have become certified and received the CASDCS credential. From early intervention to transitioning to adulthood, this certification exemplifies a clinician's ability to provide transformational strengths-based interventions, strategies, and approaches to support individuals who have ASD at varying ages and developmental stages.

I have found SFBT to be effective for clients who do not always have the luxury of time but still want to make progress and achieve their goals in specific, measurable means that are also applicable, realistic, and timely. I have been utilizing SFBT techniques for over eight years.

For addiction counseling, I have worked in rehabilitation centers as well as served as a counselor supervisor for a community mental health agency that specialized in addiction and substance use disorders. My experience in addictions counseling adds up to over five years.

I chose to specialize in ART because for some, EMDR can take too long to process trauma, and for some individuals, it can be re-traumatizing to speak out loud about their trauma. In ART, speaking is optional for the client.
