My Background and Approach
I have been in the mental health field for 27 years. I have worked in mental health centers, suicide hotlines, hospitals, schools, and private practice. I am extensively trained in OCD treatment and trauma and utilize ERP and EMDR. I am certified in EMDR. I have many years of experience treating depression and anxiety. I can help you learn techniques that work for you. We will work collaboratively as there is not such a thing as one size fits all when it comes to treatment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My motto is to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. Change and growth require discomfort. I will help you through this. I believe we are a team and have to work together. I will be your biggest fan. I understand anxiety, grief, and trauma. I can help you get through this. I believe in constantly growing and learning and I do this for myself and my clients. I will introduce you to techniques that are research based. My background is in biology and psychology and I will introduce to you how and why these techniques work.
