Sarah graduated from The Catholic University of America, where she earned her master’s degree with Honors in Social Work. Sarah has specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques. As an undergraduate, Sarah interned for The University of Maryland’s Sexual Assault Prevention Program. During her graduate studies, she worked for DC Safe, a 24-hour sexual assault prevention and crisis intervention agency where she provided emergency services, court advocacy, and system reform for domestic and sexual violence survivors. Sarah later continued to work within The Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, The National Center For Children and Families, Montgomery County Public School-Based Therapy, as well as a therapeutic nutrition and wellness program. Sarah is passionate about meeting you where you are in order to achieve your wellness needs.
As a bilingual therapist, fluent in English and Persian (Farsi), Sarah understands the importance of multicultural sensitivity during treatment. She is, therefore, proud to provide psychotherapy services to the Farsi-speaking community.
