About My Clients
I am eager to support clients in embracing their true self. I enjoy working with clients with eating disorders, body image issues, depression, anxiety, life transitions (i.e. graduating, becoming a new mom, etc.), and self-esteem. I also enjoy working with clients in larger bodies and empowering them to be their most authentic self in a society that attaches health and worthiness to weight.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is to meet my clients where they are at and to move at a pace that feels safe for them. I take a client-centered approach to therapy and believe that it is a collaborative effort between both client and therapist. I encourage clients to look introspectively and teach healthy coping mechanisms that are unique to each individual's needs. I offer a warm and inviting environment that is free of judgment. I am conversational and compassionate, and can be direct when needed. No matter where you may be in your healing, I am here to support you! I have experience working with women in an inpatient setting with a variety of diagnoses ranging from Postpartum Depression to generalized anxiety to eating disorders. In addition, I have worked with teen parents seeking support and guidance in navigating their new role as parents as well as individuals who have experienced trauma in childhood and/or across the lifespan.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about health at every size promoting weight inclusivity, mindfulness, life enhancing movement, and education regarding the mind and body connection. In addition, I enjoy incorporating nature into therapy to support healing when possible.
