About My Clients

I work primarily with infants, toddlers, and pre-K, but also serve adults and children through age 6. Common issues include adoption, foster care/reunification, anxiety, defiance/not listening, developmental concerns, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), medical trauma/NICU, other trauma, and grief/loss. Through our work together you will discover compassion for yourself, decrease your stress, increase your confidence as a parent, and find more joy in your relationship with your child.

My Background and Approach

I am endorsed through the Oregon Infant Mental Health Association as an Infant Mental Health Specialist (Level III). I am certified in Child Parent Psychotherapy, which addresses early childhood trauma with the understanding that children and caregivers often experience difficult events together. I have worked with very young children and their families for fifteen years, and have additional training in Infant Massage, Parent Child Interaction Therapy, Circle of Security Parenting™, in addition to the latest trauma research such as interpersonal neurobiology and working with the nervous system & somatic approaches. I use the attachment relationship as the vehicle for healing - YOU will be your child's therapist; I will be your coach. I'll reflect with you, encourage you, and help you tap into your own wisdom and community to figure out what works for you and your child.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I will put you in the driver's seat - my job is to ask questions to help you remember - or perhaps discover - your own truth. I see behavior as a response that is shaped by our experiences, our environment, and our relationships - together we'll help figure this out and discover how to best support your child. I approach my work through a client-centered cultural framework. I have learned that naming and addressing white body supremacy, colonialism, and capitalism is essential for our collective healing work.
