About My Clients

I work with clients ages 12 and older struggling with eating and anxiety disorders, as well as adjusting to major life changes such as a recent move, going away to college, a divorce, or the loss of a loved one. My mission is to provide quality therapeutic services with compassion and understanding in a non-judgmental, professional setting, while meeting you where you are.

My Background and Approach

As the owner and founder of Creekside Therapy Center, LLC I am truly passionate about the work I do. I am a graduate of Wilmington College where I studied Journalism/Public Relations and Psychology. I began my career as a journalist for a small daily newspaper in southern Ohio before deciding to obtain my Master of Education in Counseling and Human Services. I graduated from Lindsey Wilson College in 2011 and made the transition from journalism to counseling in the private practice setting. From 2015-2017 I worked in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels of care providing individual, family, and group therapy to those with eating disorders. Utilizing a Cognitive Behavioral model, I will work with you to recognize ineffective thinking patterns that are impacting your well-being and leading to distressing feelings and disruptive behaviors. I integrate additional evidence-based interventions and together we will create an individualized treatment plan.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe recovery from an eating disorder is possible and that quality therapeutic services should be accessible to help make this a reality for anyone who is struggling. As a result, I have two practice locations serving individuals in the Cincinnati area, as well as individuals in rural Highland County. l walk alongside clients to help create behavior change, believing in health at every size. I work to dispel eating disorder myths whenever the opportunity presents and actively challenge the idea that the severity of an eating disorder can be determined by looking at one’s physical appearance. I additionally believe that some clients benefit greatly from emotional support animals and welcome these animals into sessions as needed. While unrelated to my practice, I am a huge advocate for the humane treatment of animals and have three cats, two of which have special needs.
