My Background and Approach

I work with adults and adolescents in individual and group settings. My areas of focus include identity, self-esteem, and life transitions, past trauma/abuse, depression, anxiety, and relationships challenges. I believe that counseling can be a space of healing, where we are invited into a deeper and fuller understanding of who we are. I approach counseling holistically, acknowledging and exploring each client's unique emotional, physical, spiritual, and relational needs. I received my M.S. in Mental Health Counseling from Western Washington University in 2017. I have over two years of experience working with adolescent and adult clients in community mental health settings, both individually and in groups. I also have experience providing advocacy services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

“If we can share our story with someone who responds with empathy and understanding, shame can't survive.” -Brené Brown. Therapy offers a space where vulnerability is welcomed and accepted with compassion. When we share our stories and are witnessed in our pain, growth and healing can occur in profound and life-changing ways. I believe everyone has the ability to pursue and experience that healing in the right environment and with the right support.
