About My Clients
I work with children, adolescents, and young adults at Mind Chicago. I help young people who are struggling with attention issues, academics, depression, and anxiety. I assist parents who are looking for answers. I provide more information to schools so they can best support diverse learners with unique social-emotional needs. Mind Chicago does not accept insurance but can provide a superbill for you to submit for reimbursement. I have openings in December on weekends and winter break.
My Background and Approach
I was a school psychologist in public and private schools, working with a diverse range of students, for 7 years. I have a PhD and am also a licensed clinical psychologist. I can understand the big picture, including how psychological and learning issues can affect school functioning. I look at the whole child and find hidden strengths! I can give much-needed answers to parents who want to do all they can to help their child. I can help clients understand themselves better so they are empowered to seek the services and accommodations they need to be successful. I realize a psychological evaluation can be new and intimidating and I have a warm and welcoming personality. I may even crack a joke or two and show you pictures of my dogs and get a smile from an anxious child. I embrace neurodiversity.
