About My Clients

I love working with those who not only have a history of trauma, but with those who have been marginalized in one way or another - maybe they're a minority, or simply misunderstood. I work with children, adolescents and adults all alike. If you fall into any of these categories, then we could be a perfect fit!

My Background and Approach

I have extensive and diverse experience, ranging from working with children and adolescents on the autistic spectrum and those with emotional disturbances, to working with the military population. I received my bachelor's degree in psychology from Howard University; and my doctorate in clinical psychology from The George Washington University. Working extensively with trauma led me to become an EFT practitioner and hypnotist, as I saw those treatments as more effective than traditional talk therapy. Stressing the link and interplay between mind, body and spirit is critical in my work. This fact led me to co-create Tipping Point Wellness, where my husband and I create custom programs for those desiring to make powerful and holistic changes to and for themselves. My goal is to treat you like an individual and not just a number, and to do so in a caring, compassionate, and sometimes fun way. It's all about thinking outside the box to naturally heal what's been getting in your way.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in the power of diversity and expression of self. Coming from a diverse background (being a bi-racial gay man), it's my desire to see everyone on an equal playing field when it comes to overall health and wellness. My interests range from Black Lives Matter causes, to working as a board member of Queen City Unity, which is all about social equality and equity here in Charlotte. I also have worked and continue to work with law enforcement, as I understand that trauma has no limits or boundaries. I consider myself spiritual, not religious, especially growing up as a gay man in the Catholic church. I believe we are all made from and come from love, and should be treated as such. While I have my own political beliefs, I am open to everyone's beliefs. I love to dances (hip-hop in particular) as movement has always been an important part of my life! Finally, I am married to my husband and we have two adorable dogs, if I may say so myself! :)

I have experience with the following
  • Atheism
  • Buddhism
  • Hinduism
