About My Clients

Are you looking to take steps toward acceptance and healing - a life that feels whole and authentic to your true self? Finding a therapist that is the right fit for you is an important step on that journey. I work with teens and adults from all backgrounds to foster a safe, therapeutic space for healing and growth. I especially love to work with women and LGBTQ+ folks around issues of identity, sexuality/gender, family of origin, religious trauma, ENM relationships, and perinatal mental health.

My Background and Approach

I come from a social work background and have experience supporting pregnant/postpartum individuals, individuals with trauma, youth/teens, and LGBGTQ+ teens/adults. I meet each new client where they are at, with an understanding that each individual has been uniquely impacted and shaped by their life experiences, traumas, and the societal systems that inform all of our lives. I take a trauma-informed, strengths-based, person-centered approach to help clients identify and leverage the many strengths/skills they already possess, while supporting them in building the skills they need to reach their goals. I also utilize feminist and political frameworks to acknowledge and support clients in identifying the ways that community/societal structures interact with their unique identities and experiences. As someone who works with women, pregnant/postpartum individuals, LGBTQ+ folks, poly/ENM folks, and other marginalized groups, I have found this to be a vital component of therapeutic care.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Life is a complex, multifaceted journey, and there is no "right way" to do it. Patience and self-compassion are paramount as you will inevitably make mistakes and encounter challenges on the path toward healing. I believe that my clients know themselves better than I ever will, and it is important for me to support them in building a foundation of trust within. I also believe that no amount of therapy can completely heal the harm that racist and patriarchal systems inflict on marginalized groups. However, we can deconstruct the ways they impact our daily lives and build self-compassion and skillsets around that.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
