About My Clients
I am passionate about accompanying clients as they move through seasons of change and uncertainty. With warmth, compassion, and playfulness, I walk alongside individuals and partners as they explore the stories of their past to see how they may be impacting their experiences of themselves and others in the present moment. Together, we can offer tender care to the parts of you that may be suffering or feeling stuck.
My Background and Approach
I aim to co-create a space where you can explore your deepest values, needs, and desires. I believe that you are the expert of your life and that an authentic, collaborative relationship between us is the bedrock of a healing therapeutic process. While your path (and therefore, our sessions) will be unique to you, I often incorporate frameworks of internal family systems and narrative therapy, as well as somatic (body-based) awareness techniques. With couples and partners, I use aspects of emotionally-focused therapy to explore the patterns of connection and disconnection that may be influencing relationships. Prior to becoming a therapist, I accompanied folks navigating reproductive choices and perinatal experiences as a birth and postpartum doula and completed specialized training as a holistic sex educator. I am particularly passionate about working with LGBTQ+ individuals and partners, as well as with clients exploring reproductive experiences.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we are all wired towards healing in connection and that a warm, responsive relationship can support us in accessing these wise parts of ourselves. By attuning to your stories in their broader sociocultural context, with great reverence for all of your identities and all of the experiences that have gotten you here, I believe that you can begin to imagine a new story for your future that reflects the wisdom, values, and strengths that you and your communities hold.
