About My Clients
I work with clients to develop strategies to treat generalized anxiety, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic, specific phobias (emetophobia, needles, flying, insects, storms, etc.), separation anxiety, PANS/PANDAS, tics, trichotillomania, excoriation, and trauma. Additionally, I have special interests in working with selective mutism, survivors of violent and non-violent crimes, and first responder’s mental health.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Widener University in 2022. I completed the school psychology certification and trained in numerous Evidence-Based Treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Since 2017, I have worked with individuals across the lifespan in a multitude of clinical settings including outpatient practices, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, schools, and social services agencies. I have acquired specialized training in the use of Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Behavioral Activation (BA), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and mindfulness-based practices. I use a variety of systems that espouses a holistic, integrative approach to client care while working from an empowerment lens to encourage clients to have an active and collaborative role in their treatment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that at some point in life, everybody needs somebody. None of us are immune to hardship and distress. Really, it is not a matter of "if" but "when." Even though there are natural ebbs and flows, sometimes we need for someone to hear us, hold our pain, validate our experience and model a new way of coping with patterns of thinking and behavior that keep us stuck. For that reason, my passion is to aide in a client’s journey towards self-fulfillment. Through my clinical work, I am committed to supporting and empowering clients in times of distress through warmth, compassion, and challenging them to discover their true selves.
