Building and maintaining relationships in our lives, whether they be romantic, professional, or familial, requires dedication and effort. Effective communication and setting boundaries are key components in fostering healthy relationships. Together, we will work on understanding each other's perspectives and experiences, and develop healthy communication and listening skills to enhance the quality of your connection.

When working with anxiety, I utilize a psychodynamic, somatic, and mindfulness approach. Our initial focus will be on developing strategies to regain control over your current symptoms and challenges. Once we have addressed these immediate concerns, we can explore deeper issues to instill confidence in the progress and positive change you are experiencing.

I identify as a Black queer woman. I have worked with many clients in the LGBTQ community. My clients have expressed feeling safe and supported in therapy with me. I have an understanding of the unique challenges LGBTQ indivudals may face in various aspects of their lives such as at home, with family, and within religious communities. I recognize that those who identify as LGBTQIA often encounter challenges that can make your day to day lives challenging.

I am trained in Trauma Resolution Energy Therapy 1. Energy psychology is a holistic approach to therapy that combines traditional psychological techniques with principles of energy medicine. By addressing these energy imbalances, energy psychology can help clients release negative emotions, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being. Energy psychology techniques, such as tapping or meridian-based therapies, are used to help clients identify and release emotional blocks and limiting belief.

Psychodynamic therapy is the foundation of my practice, it helps clients by exploring their unconscious thoughts, emotions, and past experiences to gain insight into their current behaviors and patterns. Clients are able to uncover and process underlying conflicts and unresolved issues that may be contributing to their difficulties. This increased self-awareness can lead to a deeper understanding of oneself and one's relationships, as well as the development of healthier coping mechanisms.

As a therapist that values the uniqueness of my clients I find that the eclectic therapeutic approach allows me to combine techniques and methods from different therapeutic modalities to best meet the individual needs of each client. It offers a personalized and flexible approach to therapy that can effectively address their specific needs and goals. By combining different therapeutic techniques, clients can experience effective treatment that supports their overall well-being and growth.
