My clients have experienced trauma and grief that has lead to an inability to move forward in life, relationship issues, depression, anxiety and PTSD. They are questioning their faith and purpose in life. If you're feeling lost, hurt and emotionally overwhelmed and if you're looking to heal from the past so you can move forward into a brighter future, I'd love to come along side of you on your journey. Together we will formulate a plan that fits you and your unique needs.
Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

If you find yourself slashing your tires or just getting a lot of flats in your personal life, it might be time to make some changes. And sometimes that requires some guidance, introspection and support that an authentic, warm and professional therapy space can offer. As a licensed psychologist I work with adults and those 55+, and tend to specialize Mood disorders, Life transitions, Acute Stressors, Grief and losses, Impact of Chronic Health Conditions, Caregiver Stress, among others.
Do you identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) and/or LGBTQ+? As an LGBTQ+ and BIPOC therapist, I know exactly how it feels to experience isolation and discrimination for just simply existing. My personal journey to supporting individuals in learning how to live and accept their most authentic selves started with my own lived experience. I enjoy working with children, teens, and adults who may be leery about seeking help, or have had bad experiences with therapy in their past.
Rather than viewing people as inherently flawed with problematic behaviors and thoughts that require treatment, person-centered therapy identifies that each person has the capacity for personal growth and change. With a person-centered approach there is recognition with the ability to trust the human potential and doing this with empathy and unconditional positive regard will foster change.
My practice is comprised of several providers that have openings at various times and whose info is included together below. In general, we provide safe, affirming care to youth and young adults ages 13+, LGBTQIA2+ folks and neurodivergent folks experiencing a variety of mental health needs. We work with individuals, families, and couples seeking a supportive space. We also provide gender care assessments and referral letters of support.
My passion is to support people as they work towards and achieve their goals and live life to their greatest potential, but sometimes we all just need support along the journey. I work with adolescents and adults struggling with a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, stress, relationship and communication issues, low self-esteem, and support people through life transitions and adjustment difficulties. I also provide premarital counseling for couples.
