Accepting Clients

I truly believe we are not meant to do this alone. How can we be expected to change if we have never been guided through the how?

Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Los Angeles, CA

About My Clients

Therapists deserve therapy too! I specialize in working with students, pre-licensed or newly licensed therapists who struggle with impostor syndrome, uncertainty and taking on others emotions, all while trying to manage their own complexities of life. We work together so you can experience life and this profession with greater ease. And separately, but also a fun fact, I am highly trained in Eating Disorders!

My Background and Approach

With 10+ years of clinical experience, I've learned that there is no one size fits all. Each person requires a unique approach and flexibility to meet their needs. I place a huge emphasis on process and understanding your patterns and behaviors in life and in your work. After all, if you don't know what you are doing or why it's happening, how can you be expected to change it? I use practical skills and interventions and help you understand the process to support your struggles and foster growth, but also so you can conceptualize and apply to others. My training spans almost all levels of care from residential to out-patient. I've worked with a wide range of clients: eating disorders, substance use, anxiety, depression, trauma, and parenting with specific training in CBT, DBT, EFT, Motivational Interviewing and more. Separately, I coach new therapists in starting private practices and have been supervising for 4 years. I absolutely love working with the emerging therapist!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

In our world today, we are so easily isolated and as therapists we are supposed to be the strong ones that others lean on. Who are we supposed to lean on? Therapists need and deserve support too. In truth, being a new therapist is hard, really hard. In this new profession there is so much to navigate and my greatest growing points as a therapist was seeing a therapist during this extraordinarily delicate time of learning and living. I learned so much about myself, my fears, how I show up in a room and also practical skills and tools to use on myself and with clients. Will you ever feel competent? Enough? Shake the "must fix-it" feeling? Or not take home others emotions? Yes! But you aren't meant to stumble through this alone. I would love to chat! Reach out for a free phone consultation and if I'm not the right fit, I promise to at least point you in the right direction.
