About My Clients

Our Identity is deeply personal and can sometimes compete with the status quo of societal and cultural expectations. Self Identity consists of the qualities, beliefs, personality, looks and expressions that make ourselves feel whole. Understanding the impact of power, oppression, racism, homophobia, transphobia, fat-phobia, and misogyny can help us heal parts of us that have been rejected and shamed. I developed a particular niche working with professionals of color who experience anxiety.

My Background and Approach

I am a licensed clinical social worker, I am certified in Internal Family Systems and Somatic Abolitionism. Outside of psychotherapy and coaching, I am trained as a trauma informed yoga instructor with a focus on restorative and yin practice. My psychotherapy framework is a combination of Critical Race Theory, Liberation Psychology, Internal Family Systems and Narrative Therapy. I weave in somatic body awareness through mindful rituals. Ultimately, my goal is to guide you to feel confident in your inner healing, choices and change. Due to the nature of tele-therapy, I am not able to safely work with clients who are actively suicidal or a life-threatening addition. I will provide supportive referrals.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

While my degrees, certifications, and awards is something to be proud of, my accomplishments have also been a way to heal and overcome generational trauma in my family as well as chosen family. As a queer latinx I believe everyone has the right to choose a life worth living that is free of suffering. I believe practicing embodied liberation will support your choices, healing and life transitions confidently. It's important for me as a mental health professional of color to provide therapy to those who identity as QTBIPOC, First Generation College Graduates, and Professionals of Color, BIPOC Creatives who may have not had access to a therapist of color. I am a Los Angeles native and spent my formative years in New York City. I am a graduate of New York University Silver School of Social Work, California State University, Long Beach and Mt. San Antonio Community College.
