I provide services to those experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, and trauma. Together, we process past traumas and root causes of issues. My clients learn tools to build confidence and self-esteem, ultimately improving relationships with themselves and others.
We all have a story, and I believe, no matter where you’ve been or where you’re going, your story matters and healing is possible. Many of us have spent our whole lives carrying around the weight of what others have done to us, or the absence of the love we should have received, and it’s heavy. My goal is to create a safe space in which we can better understand that grief you’re carrying, and collaborate together to tend to the parts of you that are hurting. You don’t have to bear this alone.
Anxiety affects 1 out of 3 adults and teens. It can feel like the walls are caving in when it happens and we might not know who to turn to for help. You have just made the first step in your healing journey. We will work together to lower the anxiety volume and gain tools to use daily when feeling too much.
I have worked with diverse clients on a variety of issues, but I most often work with LGBTQIA+ clients. This has included but is not limited to exploring gender identity/sexual orientation, family wounds, relationship dynamics, religious conflict/deconstruction, and trauma & PTSD. I have additional experience and training working with clients in the queer community who have received a positive HIV diagnosis.
There are moments when some of your closest relationships begin to feel challenging to navigate. You notice a lack of understanding, feeling heard and seen, and connection. You might feel hopeless or overwhelmed when the same issues and conflicts repeat. I can work with you to help process places you feel stuck in relationships.
My ideal client would be an adolescent who has endured some type of trauma or abuse. Their needs would include building resiliency and expanding their coping skills "toolbox." Their goal would ultimately be to find hope and healing, despite their adversities. They would want to be an active participant in their treatment, so that it could be as beneficial as possible. Having said that, any client who feels that they could benefit from my counseling services is more than welcome into my office!
My clients are often frustrated, lost, confused and at their breaking point in their sexual relationships. They have shame or guilt regarding some aspect of their sexuality. They question their sexuality, ruminate over whether they are “having sex the right way?” and struggle to connect to their partners and their own bodies. My clients are curious about exploring their sexuality, motivated to heal their trauma and face cultural messages to achieve wellness, pleasure and liberation.
Are you tired of putting on this mask as you independently struggle with loneliness, depression, a relationship, or anxiety? Do you find yourself hiding your despair because your life “looks great on paper?” One thing I know for sure is, your feelings are valid. Let’s work together to uncover what is really going on. These feelings are not abnormal, and you need a therapist who can help you discover their root cause.
I aim to create a safe and comforting space for you to discuss goals, process pain, and develop deeper self-awareness. It is easy to get stuck in survival mode and run on autopilot. Before you realize it, weeks have passed, and you can't seem to remember anything important. I am passionate about creating a space for adults to pause, process, and heal.
Do you feel like you're just going through the motions, or overwhelmed with anxiety, stress, or fear? Are your relationships tense, distant, or stuck? Are you struggling to find hope amidst the ups and downs of life? Nothing is more distressing than feeling caught in endless cycles of conflict that leave you feeling lost, defeated, and lonely. My passion is to help others identify and change those cycles in order to experience healing, connection, and fulfillment.
Have you found yourself feeling stuck or discouraged lately? Some of the struggles I hear about include self-doubt, boundaries, and life transitions. Others are dealing with toxic relationships, family, or work environments. People usually come to therapy because they're experiencing pain in one form or another. I've worked with clients of all ages and with a variety of issues, but the thing most of them have in common is that they all need someone in their lives to remind them that they matter.
I work with people from every community and stage of life, including LGBTQ+ people, couples, families, and people suffering from addiction, trauma, spiritual issues, grief and loss, and mood disorders. I utilize a trauma-informed lens, with an attachment-based, systemic, and person-centered framework, while integrating somatic and narrative techniques.
Poly, ethical non-monogamy, open relationship, consensual non-monogamy, non-traditional relationships, or however you are choosing to label yourself, I support people in creating the relationship of their dreams. I am very passionate about breaking the barriers that have confined couples; and creating an alternative narrative that will help them grow individually and together.
