Welcome! As your therapist, my aim is to provide a sanctuary where we address your concerns from a holistic perspective. My practice is tailored for individuals who identify as queer, trans, non-binary, or are exploring gender and/or sexuality. Embracing a trauma-informed approach, I acknowledge the experiences you've endured and can support your journey toward healing. I do best with people who like being asked deep questions and who are motivated to make changes.

I partner with folks in navigating anxiety, PTSD, substance use harm reduction, gender alignment, and other areas of concern. I tend to connect most effectively with folks who are: queer, trans, questioning, fellow helping professionals, neurodiverse, artists, creatives, highly sensitive, witchy, and/or spiritually inclined. I enjoy working with folks who practice kink, BDSM, nonmonogamy, and/or radical monogamy.
We provide psychotherapy services to clients in California, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Washington, and Wisconsin. (Clients outside of the San Francisco area are seen via teletherapy only at this time.) You're deeply caring, creative, and curious. And you feel stuck, not good enough, overwhelmed, hurting. Disconnected from the life you want. You may be in numbness and slowly suffocating in a deep hole. You may find yourself shutting down and avoiding things that are usually important to you. You may be facing a big life change that throws your sense of who you are. You could be struggling to start a family, or dealing with scary thoughts and emotional pain in pregnancy, postpartum, or beyond.
Are you seeking ways in understanding sex, relationships, love, and intimacy? Are you seeking help with various sexual dysfunctions such as erectile dysfunction, premature or delayed ejaculation, performance anxiety, low libido, and relationship issues? Restarting your life? Are you feeling lost, overwhelmed, isolated? Do you feel stuck in the past ? Or maybe you think you are powerless, too old, too young, too different, or low energy? Some of the folks I enjoy working with are members of my queer community, older adults, creative types and people connected to the earth who care about our planet and may be experiencing climate grief. I appreciate transitioners of all types and lovers of learning.
The folks I tend to work best with are those who are committed to an exploratory process, trying things out, and are interested in experimenting. I've supported folks with navigating anxiety, unpacking identity, and rethinking relationships. I appreciate working with folks who like a good analogy or pop culture reference or pun as part of the therapeutic process. I try to be as much myself as possible while in the therapist role, and invite my clients' whole self to join us.
Have you been thinking "I should really do something about my current life?" If yes, then let's work together to help you break unhelpful patterns that involve anxiety, depression, eating disorders, addictions/substance abuse or marriage/relationship problems. If you're looking to transform your life, that is, accept yourself, achieve those dreams that you've put off, and create an amazing fulfilling life then you've got the right profile. It's never too late to start or start over.
I work primarily with folks who are: neurodivergent (e.g. autistic, ADHD, or other), chronically ill/disabled (particularly with autoimmune illnesses), queer/LGBTQIAA2S, sexual/gender outsiders, fat-identified and/or hoping to develop a more loving relationship with their body, sex workers, poly folks, and those in non-traditional relationship and family structures. If you've ever been told that you're too much, too negative, or too "in your head," let's talk. I welcome you exactly as you are.

I enjoy assisting a wide variety of individuals, couples and families, including those new to the process of therapy. While offering a general practice, I have extensive experience serving adoptees and persons who have experienced early life loss, neglect and abuse as well as persons recovering from adversities in adulthood. I have a special interest in supporting couples with histories of trauma or living with cultural differences and persons with strong creative or spiritual orientations.
I work with couples who avoid conflict and feel lonely in their partnership, and those who fight frequently and find conflict escalates quickly. I also work with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, have a hard time asking for their needs to be met and often don't understand their emotional reactions. Many experienced childhood trauma that has hurt their sense of self. Others come for support during life transitions or because they are grieving.
We work with all aspects, The body with all its wisdom and symptoms, psyche and and it’s deeper longings and truths, and mind, our amazing brains that have been shaped by past experience and can be reshaped toward where we are and what we need in life now. Alleviating symptoms is the first step, but learning how to uncover, receive, use and grow from our authentic needs is the longer goal. My clients start from a wide variety of backgrounds with all kinds of symptoms.
Sexuality & pleasure are stigmatized, this plays into how we feel about ourselves, our bodies and in relation to others. I specialize in sex, intimacy and relationship issues with couples/partners towards undoing harmful stories which no longer work for us, which hold us back, harm us. I work to re-educate, and then to empower. I work with clients to signifcantly reduce distress and undo longer standing concerns. Find your truth and build on that!
There are many reasons eating disorders are invited into your life. Just as there are many reasons why a person develops an eating disorder, the way you recover will be just as unique. If there was a one-size-fits- all solution, that would perhaps be as deceptive as the problem itself. Whether it’s perfectionism, judgment, loneliness, self-improvement, health, fear, family issues… Together we will discover what invites these problems into your life, and begin to find what recovery means for you.

Therapy improves relationships. The individuals I work with are often tired of repeating the same patterns again and again, whether it's dating abuse, codependency, or chronic relationship conflict, anxiety, avoidance or indecision. They're ready to get to the root causes and finally make real change. Of course, all relationships start with and reflect your relationship to yourself. If you're dealing with a harsh inner critic or low self-worth, this internal relationship needs attention first.
Many of us reach out when we feel the need for support, or help working through challenging times. Sometimes we face challenges we think are too difficult to manage alone. I believe in taking a strength-based, client-centered approach to psychotherapy, working with you to help you grow toward your best self. The familiar ways you have of dealing with life's complications may not be working; together we can work to identify new positive means of change.
Have you found yourself locked in a pattern of relating that leads again and again to the same negative, frustrating or unsatisfying outcomes? I help couples or individuals identify and alter these patterns, often with insight into how they developed in the first place, leading to happier and more fulfilling relationships and lives.
