About My Clients
Who is ever actually ready to share their feelings and issues with someone they don’t know? Who really wants to be told that there is a reason we do what we do or say what we say? Sometimes exploring the meaningful stories behind emotional pain can be challenging, but it can be our guide to growth and healing. Despite our guarded exterior, we desire for someone to acknowledge our pain. Everyone deserves to be heard, understood, and validated.
My Background and Approach
I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist under the supervision of Liz Wee at Couples Healing Center. I am passionate about working with individuals and couples on issues such as anxiety, depression, relationships, self-awareness, trauma, mindfulness and exploring helpful coping skills. I completed my M.A in Marriage and Family Therapy at Touro University Worldwide. I believe that there is no “one size fits all” therapy approach, meaning that I draw from different modalities. As your therapist, I am curious about your life, your narrative, and what things you give value to. I am interested in getting to know my clients, exploring what therapy approaches may work for their individual needs, and providing culturally-competent collaborative therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Life has its ups and downs, starting at any age. Sometimes our life experiences affect how we believe in ourselves. I believe we are all capable and worthy of happiness and fulfillment. No matter our traumas, our diagnoses, and/or our mistakes, I believe that as humans we have all the answers within ourselves. We lose our sense of direction and forget the magic we carry within ourselves. With some guidance we are capable of re-learning how to live our lives in happiness. If you're curious to learn more about how I can help you or a loved one, please go ahead and contact me.
