I have over five (5) years of experience working with individuals who are surviving dependency and addiction to alcohol or drugs. My past experience includes working in an outpatient methadone clinic providing case management, relapse preventing planning and individual and group counseling to patients. I currently provide individual, couples, family and group therapy, aftercare treatment planning and cognitive skill-building to patients a subacute care treatment facility.
As a LatinX, gay, nonbinary individual, I have firsthand experience living in the intersectionality of culture, gender, race and sexual orientation. I engage in both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and gender- and sexuality-affirming care and therapy to help my clients explore the totality of their identities.
