About My Clients

I’m a licensed therapist who is passionate about working with women to move away from self-criticism and toward self-compassion. I help clients love themselves a little more and make sense of their experiences. Finding it challenging to be gentle with yourself? Feeling anxious? Overwhelmed? I invite you to reach out to see how you think we fit.

My Background and Approach

I work from a somatic, trauma-informed approach and incorporate mind-body approaches into traditional talk therapy. We will work collaboratively to address what is most important to you. The stuffy, clinical, cold kind of therapy isn't my style. I like the compassionate, approachable, lighthearted kind of therapy much better. The relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important parts of the therapeutic experience. It is important to me that you feel safe to show up as yourself and you feel like we are a good fit.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe we live in a society that often demands disconnection from our needs, our emotions, our bodies and each other. We are often pressured to be in a constant state of productivity and giving. I love working with women who are curious about unlearning some of this. I work from a humanistic approach with a heavy dose of self-compassion. I believe everyone has what it takes inside of themselves to heal and move forward when there is enough emotional safety present. I believe our minds and bodies are adapted toward survival. Sometimes, they are still operating in ways that may no longer serve us. Sometimes, it’s helpful to explore this and invite a different way of being.
